I feel that way, but the truth is that a small(?) section of the people are just getting a shit education. Ignorance and stupidity are not the same thing.

The housing market in the UK is often used as an indicator for whatever point pundits want to make about the economy - we are a small country with a growing population and limited housing. Many people of my kids' generation will not be able to buy their own homes because prices are still rising, and mortgages are harder to find.

This is stated as if it's something calamitous, but it's not. In many European countries, Italy in particular, people live with their parents well into their 30s; often you will get 3 or even 4 generations living in the same house. But by the same token Italians are well known for their strong family values, love of children, etc.
