Default Challenge #12: Of each word...

Moving on from the great anti-minimalistic writing challenge , here's another challenge: write a reasonably lengthy (4-6 sentences) flash from the third person. Must be a sensible piece, must be coherent and most importantly, each word must begin with the last letter of the last word.

Example;
"The Elephant tore Elliott to octopus shreds. She equaled death, hope, eagerness so obviously."

And so forth...

This is an extremely difficult challenge. The example shown was not an excellent one, as it wasn't really sensible. But the challenge is up to you!

Ooh...you said it was an "extremely difficult one"! Now I just have to do this. I can't pass up the opportunity to bask in the delight of surmounting a challenge! Badger me relentlessly if I don't do this within the week, please.

Badger, badger, badger, badger. Oh yes, and one more for good measure: Badger

Are you sufficiently badgered?

No, not really.

Possum. Possum. Possum.

(Well, someone had to take the lame joke, didn't they?)

Foul! I call the match on account of spelling error! That's Opossum. The O is silent. You can be a hick and say "'possum", but then you need an apostrophe. Odd, isn't it?

Thanks for badgering me, I think I'm back up to average. Your badgering counts double, Devon, 'cause you're a Happy Woodland Creature yourself

Er, possums and opossums are different animalias.

The opossum is order: didelphimorphia, family: didelphidae; the possum is order: diprotodontia, sub-order: phalangeriformes.

No weasel words now, Winterbite, you is mistaken.

Out here in Texas we only use apostrophe's for picking our teeth after corn on the cob.

The apostrophe, when diligently dug in, will come to own the cob that it culls from the teeth the way that we draw our breath quickly into us in front of beauty and hold it, own it, before gently letting it egress. An apostrophe can be possessive of it treasures, you see. Best to just let it rest where it wants. They have sharp tips. You should have seen what the one above did to my finger when I tried to take it out of that word.

Indeed, Winter, a possum is... say, cute at first sight, but after they begin infesting your garden and eating your buds and dropping their poos everywhere, you begin t hate 'em.

Australian, by the way. Something not American, for a change, thank goo- *uh-hem*.

Anyway... back to thread topic.

What's that, different animals? Interesting. Who's bright idea was it to make the names so similar?
