Default A hundred empty shells

Lit off ninety nine rounds
of nine from my G19
the other day while
considering my brother's
recent passing

Worked targeting from tight
angle concealment (I was
the only person in the range)

Used both right and
left hand approaches

This was Sunday

The previous Friday evening
I was on my brother's front porch,
hat off, as his body was
rolled by on a gurney

Goin' to the crematorium

Some things are harder to metaphor
than
others

Hiya Nick... Good to see you back in.

The imagery here is as sharp and poignant as ever. We are both sad and happy to read it.

Something to be said for a stack of ammo at a time like that.
