Hi
I haven't ever thought of being a writer, but I got an idea and I want feedback. I'm a 16-year-old who's beaten Ninja Gaiden, TKO'd Mike Tyson (in the game), and beaten other hard video games. I also know some programming languages, like C++.
I haven't read any books that I didn't have to for school. I'm considering starting, though.

Why not—if you feel the urge to write. But, realize wrting is not an easy task for most.
A blank page/screen can be intimidating to some.

Punch a hole in your bedroom wall. Write about it.
Oh, don't know the technique?
Toshitsugu Takamatsu can show you the way.

Exploring writing sounds exciting to me. This is a good forum for you to do that. Welcome aboard. wrc

I find that reading from a lot of genres and reading when you aren't writing can be very useful! I read somewhere that although good writing is unique in its own way, all good writers steal from other writers! Not in the sense of plagiarism, but when talking about structuring story lines or putting a new twist on an old story or certain character archetypes. You can definitely do it

Welcome. If you need a recommendation for a book for a beginning teen writer I'd start with Hemingway's An Old Man And The Sea.

Jeez, man, I neglected to caution you not to use the hand you write with.
Hope to read some of your stuff after it heals.
