Alliterative Alleviation of Accumulated Aggravation ;)

As cursing is supposed to make one feel better. I prefer mine creatively though, and that reminded me of a bit of silliness that is at the same time a challenge to keep the mind nimble.

The original idea isn't mine, it was created by the author of a historical nautical novel a friend told me about long ago - sadly, I forgot the name of both the author and the book; should by weird chance anyone else have heard about it or read it, I would greatly appreciate it if he or she could let me know what the title and/or author's name are - in which the captain of one of those high sea sailing ships almost continously curses. Which would not be remarkable really if he didn't have a particular way to do it, which is never twice the same, always alliteratively and following through the alphabet, moving from A to Z and starting over once he had reached that, with actual four letter words excluded from the acceptable terms.

I don't know if anyone cares to take up the challenge, but I think it would be fun to see if we can make it from A to Z at least once, with the same conditions. Naturally, the more words in the curse the better. The only excemptions from alliteration are the inital "by . . ." and short words like of, or and so on, though preferably, even those should be avoided.

So, I'll start with A and an anterior array - - and hope someone will follow up with B . . .

. . . by Ahab's aggravatingly awesome alliterative afflictions!

(by) Koala kicking Khufu's kart kiting koan

. . . with a thank you to Inferno_Paintball for the Koala inspiration.

Khufu, in case anyone is interested, if an alternative reading of the name of Egyptian Pharaoh Cheops, of the pyramid of the same name.

To Tetsura RyuuKen:

Yes, creating these can often be tough, but I think they are fun. They also suit my twisted mind.

And I like your signature.

And please continue posting in the thread.

So, uh, starrwriter... what's up with this?? Have a bad day??

Not sure I understand what you're saying here... but the above quoted communication of yours here seems a bit unkind... at least to those who have, up until now, participated in this thread.

Are you okay??

If I were a moderator here, or the board's owner, I would almost certainly delete that quoted post, because it might offend some of our community here. And also I would delete this, my response to it, so we can expunge from this thread the puerile and unfortunate sentiment expressed there.

Are you a moderator, starrwriter? Would you like to do that? I would take it kindly if you would . . . many thanks. -David

It was an attempt at humor which obviously failed with you. You're entitled to your opinion, but I think you should try to lighten up and develop a better appreciation of humor. You'll need it to get through life in one piece.

If anyone else feels offended by my post, I'll delete it (and pray for your soul.)

You're supposed to go in alphabetical order, silly. But since I think that you already knew that and were just trying to skip over X in a clever and cute way, I'll say "good show" and move on to Y.
