Default How to exploit empathy

Talk:

Talk about how pathetic men are
how smooth Obama’s cadence is
the conviction of Mandela
the victimhood of women
the victimhood of the poor
make everything else about racism,
environmentalism and nasty capitalism

Be:

Be their parent

Against all the corporations who
wouldn’t hire them,
be the warrior

In absence of fathers
be their safety net,
their excuse,
be their causeless rebellion,
their entitlement,
be the validation of all their prejudices

Offer:

Offer them that special kind of
unconditional love
(in return for tacit complicity)

Offer them an easy way out
of deferred gratification

Offer hedonism

Offer a post modern anti-conceptual mindset
where all things true and false are equal in
so much as they may feel good

Golden Rule:

Most importantly — find ways to align
their pool of empathy with your goals

Then, you will have them for the next two-hundred years

Really fuckin' good, John.

Thanks.

I wrote this after watching a Trevor Noah special. He's a pretty nice dude and everything, but also a sort of well meaning brain dead mainstream unwitting propagandist.

Yeah.
The corporation that employs him ain't about to risk their agenda message and it's attached profit margins with a Doug Stanhope type.

Exactly. And I think that's the big dichotomy between two forms of expression. Some express themselves honestly for good or ill, basically because they have no choice and can't function any other way. Others are very careful to tailor their expression to the tastes of the audience, and there's a point at which this tendency becomes so extreme that we're no longer really seeing genuine expression at all.

Policing our own thoughts so as not to offend seems to have become the norm. And that's probably one of the main reasons why a certain someone who came along seemingly unsubdued by such a climate became so popular.

I can see I'm starting to get the hang of this self absorbed/centered writer thing because at first I thought this was a reference to me and it took three more thoughts before my mind told me it is about Trump.

Fuckin' politicians. They ruin everything for normal guys.
