Default Website Feedback

I just revamped the home page on my website because it was not succinct. This is important because, on average, the typical web surfer spends 1 minute on a homepage while deciding if they want to go further into that website.

Does the home page on my website explain the services of the website quickly? Is the formatting effective? If you have any suggestions on how to make the website more accessible, please let me know. Your feedback is appreciated.

In the content paragraph the word "create" is missing the "r".
It has a clean look.

I think it looks messy - the design is still reminiscent of something 15 years out of date. The imagery isn't anti-aliased and therefore the text looks blocky. Also it takes up too much real-estate without contributing to the message. It just looks like what it is - a pretend wordpress-style tag-cloud. Thw knock-on of this is that it puts the 'meat' of the message - the text - below the fold. If you're going to use graphics to make your point, invest in higher quality images made specifically for the site, not clip-art. There's too much wasted space and everything looks dated.

Google SEO and see how others do it - catching the visitor's eye is not just about words. A modern interface and good graphics to engage the eye and lead the eye to the text.

Mike C - Is there really a noticeable difference between images purchased on Adobe and those custom-made? Do you have examples of custom-made images? If would be beneficial if the images could have something to do with SEO, Journalism, or Resumes.

Visitors to my website Homepage - I would also like to hear the opinion of people visiting my website. Are the current images on the Homepage sufficient? Is there much to gain by viewing custom-made graphics?

It does look bland CDawson. Perhaps a little colour would invite the visitor to enquire within-take a look around and find out what you're about.
