Default Solar Eclipse Today!

I know this is a bit late notice but can anyone from the states or wherever else the eclipse is visible take photos and/or film the event?

Send us a link, google drive is a good shout!

Here is the UK unfortunately it'll be pretty much a non-event with only 4% of the sun covered. Thanks!

Forgot about that.

I wonder if that's the reason why our weather was so weird yesterday

Here in Glasgow the sun was eclipsed by cloud all day anyway - not a rare event lol

It was pretty cool. I guess I thought it would be more dramatic -- it was 97% maybe a 75 or 100 miles from where I live, so I thought it would get darker and the corona would be more pronounced.

It was very different than night or twilight -- the quality of the light was very strange.

We used box viewers. Yeah, I was being very paranoid, but some assholes were selling counterfeit eclipse glasses -- and I wasn't taking any chances...

Oh and I heard if you really wanted to do it right, you could have taken a cruise ship to where the eclipse was total -- Bonnie Tyler sang "Total Eclipse of the Heart" at just the right moment.

P.S. -- The video for the song is hilarious -- definitely the "throw it all up against the wall and see if it sticks" school of video production...
