Granted. All the members left, and you are the only one remaining.

I wish I could wish for a wish to wish for.

Granted, but the wish that you wished for is to have the world's biggest plastic tarp. The tarp generates directly above you in the sky, and you are suffocated.

I wish that the big blizzard we're supposed to get here tomorrow isn't that bad.

WishCompute(TM) Program Error: semantic ambiguity.

Option A: If "that" = referential with extra-sentential referent, parse "as bad as predicted".
Option B: If "that" = intensifier, parse "too bad".

Extra-sentential referent unknown. Option B selected. Rewriting script:

"I wish that the big blizzard we're supposed to get here tomorrow isn't too bad."

Wish Corruption Protocol:

Granted, it's not too bad. In fact it's not a storm at all. You get balmy breezes and 85 degree perfection. Palm trees sprout in your yard and coconuts fall on your car. Meteorologists are stumped, but the tourism board knows just what to do, and soon you find your town overrun with resorts and wealthy foreigners. Meanwhile, you get tired of going to work on gorgeous days, so you stop working and sunbath instead. Then you get fired. And broke. And skin cancer.

I wish I had the day off.

(HoilLei beat me to it, that.... nice person.)

Granted, but it's followed by an intense heat wave.

I wish I had more tarp.

Granted, but it's got holes in it.

I wish varnish didn't make me light headed.

Granted. It makes you sick instead.

I wish I had varnish that would make me light headed. Or beer.

Granted, but the beer is flat and hot.

I wish tomorrow will be happier.

I wish I could keep track on what day it is...

Granted, you're working three full time jobs now so you have to know the days of the week.

I wish I could see my girl tonight.

Granted but your night is ruined by family continually phoning and interuping you.

I wish I was fitter.

(fitter (fitters plural )A fitter is a person whose job is to put together, adjust, or install machinery or equipment. n-count) (from a dictionary)

Granted, but it doesn't pay too well, and you need a second and third job as well and get exhausted by end of Monday.

I wish Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero 6 would be compatible with each other and backwards compatible with all the old games and downloadable songs.

Granted, but your xbox 360 RROD's on the day you get them. And your warranty runs out on the exact same day.

I wish my thumb nail wouldn't drop off. (I trapped it in the door).

Granted, your entire thumb fell off instead. But the nail is intact.

I wish I could transfer my RRD to random PS3's.

Not granted. Sony are doing a pretty fine job of messing up the PS3 without any extra help from you.

I wish it was christmas already.

Granted. You live carelessly ever after in your room, never seeing the sun again.

I wish I was drunk.

You are supposed to say "granted" and corrupt my wish...

Right now I wish I was drunk, because I watched Paranormal Activity in a dark room with the sounds turned up and no one home. It scared the hell outta me, and I grew up with horror movies.

In that case, I just wanted to get drunk.

Granted, but the itch is in place not suitable to be scratched by strangers.

I wish my girlfriend was here to help me calm down. And no, not in that way.

um... corrupt means bad, so you kinda did the exact opposite. you could say you grant my wish, but she got scared from watching the movie and ran off. or she became a he...

and btw you forgot your wish...

Granted, but the show was cancelled after one season. )Not sure if you wished that before, though.)

I wish it wasn't twenty degrees below. Celcius...
