Let the World Burn

Rage runs in the streets, leaving the dead behind,
Battles storm in the city, I turn away and wish I was blind,
Iíve tried to stop the hate in peopleís hearts, but to no avail,
Everything I said met deaf ears, so in the end, I fail,
I donít understand why they feel the urge to kill,
Itís like a terrible hunger they can never fill,
Blood and rain floods the streets as the people storm,
Their anger rises up against sanity and takes form!

*Chorus*
Death is always in their minds, hiding away from others,
But went it gets unleashed it doesnít distinguish sons and mothers!
Iíve figured out that people will never learn!
So Iím done trying to put out the fires, Let the World Burn!

The night sky above, death spread on the ground below,
People charge in their armies, letting the blood flow,
To them, death happens everyday, so the pain is gone,
When did life become so worthless, only to be remembered in a song?
There are wars everywhere, corrupting a personís mind,
What the hell ever happened to being nice and kind?
Itís the evil ones that run the world today,
I wish I could meet them all and make them pay!

Chorus

Innocence is lost by the young, forgotten by the old,
I canít believe the world has become so damn cold,
Yet fires burn everywhere, murdering whoever it wills,
People watch the news without care about the ones it kills,
Death walks among us all, but that doesnít mean you shouldnít feel!
Look around at what in this world is real!

Chorus x2

People will never learnÖ
Let the World BurnÖ
Let the World BurnÖ
Iíve figured out that people will never learn,
So Iím done trying to put out the fires, Let the World Burn!

That was...wow - that was strong. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this, only suggestions right now.

To them, death happens everyday, so the pain is gone,
When did life become so worthless, only to be remembered in a song?
The second line is nice, but it messed with the flow a little here.
People watch the news without care about the ones it kills,
Death walks among us all, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t feel!
Same with the second line here.

Otherwise, it was great. I would love to hear this if you record and sing.

Thanks for reading. I'm really happy you love it so much. I'll change the song a little, a few of the things I'm going to keep because other people I've shown this to really like them, but I will edit it a little more.

Strong all right. Good song, but I agree with what I read above in the other's comments. It does need a better flow in spots...though I'd like to hear it sung to get a better feel for it. Great work!

I don't normally comment on lyrics since I generally have no idea about them but yours really hit me.

I love them

I looked at the title with sort of a exasperated otne at first, but reading further intot eh lyrics it goes beyond the surface of "I hate the world, violence and war" stuff floating about in popluarity. No this has a message that I applaud. YOu show that what the world ( and we have created) are callous hearts and nonchalant attitudes to the bitterness of the world, in the end causing ourselves to be bitter.
One thing to nit-pick
*Chorus*
Death is always in their minds, hiding away from others,
But went it gets unleashed it doesn’t distinguish sons and mothers!
I’ve figured out that people will never learn!
So I’m done trying to put out the fires, Let the World Burn!

I think possiblity adding between sons and mothers or instead of the "and" put or. It just makes more sense to me that's all.

Keep up the great work!
