Default What Will Your Tombstone Read

"I would like another cigarette, but I am unable to breathe."

So read the epitaph for David Tango, protagonist of one of my chapbooks.

Thinking about myself, perhaps this would suffice:

"I spent more time on making
women than on making money."

How about you? Any ideas?

I heard of one:

"Remember this as you pass me by, as you are now so once was I"

another

"Don't put Miss on my tonbstone, I haven't missed as much as you think"

Depends on how nice I am to the children I guess If I died in the next hour based on recent conversations with them:

My daughter would probably write:
"Heaven emptied when she left the sing with angels."

My older son:
"That's what happens when you eat mushrooms."

My younger son:
"I'm going outside and I'm not going to shut the door. What are you going to do about it?"

For myself I would probably want "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." It's really the motto I live my life by.

However, this question just makes me think of the show AbFab "Here lies Patsy Stone....She was fantastic"

I'll be buried in a veterans cemetery, so there will be nothing fancy. Just my name and dates.

"please smooth the dirt after you leave"

I have OCD and everyone finds it highly amusing how I have to smooth everything out to be crease free, especially the bed when I'm about to get in it
