So I've made the first contest post....Quite possibly the goofiest thing I've ever written. Also, my first attempt at flash-fiction of sorts.

And for the internet decrepit who don't get the punchline, "For the lulz" is the rational behind most online trolling, and translates to "For the laughs" (lulz=lol, or laugh-out-loud) But... in the end, the expression can be used for many things in life.

Needless to say, I'm here in life for a good laugh. :3

Thank you for entering, the contests are normally a bit slow to get started, but hopefully that will change now.

Oh. And the title of the work is called A Child Asks Why.

Figured I'd throw that out there.

And the story, Oh Nuts, made me laugh, and then I felt terrible for laughing. X3

Hopefully more entries are submitted! It's great to be able to read others' writing, especially when everyone gets to have their own perspective on the same topic. Good luck everyone else(:

I'm a new member to these forums and my first post was to the Word Vault Flash Fiction Contest. Please let me know what you think.

Btw, the Oh, Nuts story was hilarious!

Well, I've just posted a "contribution", haha. By far the silliest and... silliest, thing I've written for a good while - and that includes my horrific prompt! I couldn't resist, though, as soon as I saw the word "squizzle" there was simply no turning back.

salgoud, yours made me LOL hard.

RiddimFlows, I think "The Box" hints at a really interesting world. Makes me want to hear more about it. Good use of limited space.

I love reading other writings because it makes you feel more able to put your own out there as well.
