Default Realistic New Year's Resolutions

So this year I've decided to skip past that phase where I throw out all of my chocolate and do sit ups for about eight days before it all gets too hard and I revert to normality.

Why have resolutions when you know you'll never keep them?

This year I've opted to take on Realistic New Year's Resolutions, including:

* Start a drinking problem
* Get fired from my job
* Have meaningless sexual encounter and catch untreatable STD
* Eat shit food, do minimal exercise and develop paunch
* Talk about lots of awesome things I'll never have the motivation to actually do
* Take time off for an unsatisfying staycation due to lack of planning ability

What are your Realistic New Year's Resolutions?
Pete

I may need to borrow some of yours...just not the drinking problem since I'm only seventeen.

Mine are as follows:
1. Be nicer to people that grate my nerves.
2. Choose and attend a university.
3. Pass all classes and exams with good marks.
4. Read and finish Swann's Way by Marcel Proust.
5. Procrastinate less when doing homework or studying.

Happy New Year!!

Lol! Hi, Pete.

I can't make a New Year's Resolution. I'm not done fulfilling the resolution I made, oh . . . three, four years ago. In fact, I won't ever be able to make another New Year's Resolution, ever again. Aww . . .

That's the whole point of the question, guys! What resolutions CAN you keep? Such as, being lazy and useless or spending too much money on clothes.

Aim low, succeed.

I've got my eye on kicking off my plan for world domination. It shouldn't be too difficult since last year's resolution - to design and build a death ray - went off without a hitch.

The gift that just keeps on giving.

As an Australian, I am culturally obliged to shorten names in that fashion.

And Rach, I totally made a death ray too! What's yours do? Mine's just a big ol'-fashioned laser.

Give someone the finger at least once a day.
Be a grumpy douch for at least an hour a day.
Spend too much time on the Internet.
