Default Music In My Wipers

No finesse here. Just home after a gruelling three hour drive in the dark and rain and have just written this down quickly.

Music accompanies the verse. (Clubbed to Death from The Matrix if you can't follow the link.)

I heard music in the wipers.
A steady, hypnotic beat
as metal scraped glass with
the wheeze of an old man's chest.
I floored the pedal and kept heading West.

And the rain was drumming
fast and hard on the roof
as the violins roared past in the other lane.
Then the rain started to ease
to the gentlest touch on piano keys.

Tired and over-caffeinated
heartbeat building with the song
the wipers thumped and squealed my madness
Right foot almost through the floor
My wipers played The Matrix score.

Early night Grace, eh?
