they are both in constant opposition/contradiction between themselves.
and
they both bore the life out of people's lives.

I do see a certain similarity. Every 28th November I drink a glass of milk in celebration of that happy day when the milksnatcher involuntarily left office... and isn't that the essence of religious ritual?

However, I do rather baulk at the idea of voting for bishops.

English is a strange language. It can be understood through tough thorough thought though.

No, politics and religion are not in contradiction with each other.

Yes, Christianity and US politics are opposed, and Christianity (traditional, not modern) is opposed to much of what is going on now.

If politics and religion are boring, why do they take up so much time?

I meant religion contradicts itself because it is in opposition with other religions
politics is the same many ideologies and wings and all in opposition with each other.
a total waste of time when they are supposed to bring people together.
they fail to show harmony and consistancy.

I dont think neither understand what is going on in the real world real people real lives.

they take up so much because they a demanding non cooperative dictatureship that set out to tell people how to live their lives.
on a daily basis they are useless and totally pointteless.

Similar power structure - similar outcome

"You only get out what you put in" - a higher frequency of sociopaths in a small population dictating terms to a smaller frequency of sociopaths in a larger population

God should have put a price tag on words ... What a beautifully quiet world it would have been. Much too much, free noise.
