New to forum, looks good, people don't seem to be acknowledging other peoples' threads much....?

It seems you need to lock horns with some one,or just remain invisible.

Hmm , perhaps after a bit of time, I may see things differently.

Hi Elyzabeth,

If you click "User CP" (top right hand corner) you can see all new posts for the threads you have subscribed to (posted in).

To check out your own posts, click on your name and then "statistics". There is an option there to vie either all posts started by yourself, or all threads started by yourself.

Hope it helps.

Go into your profile, look under statistics.

If you click on "find all threads by Elyzabeth," a list will come up of all the threads you've created and in which forum they are. If you click on "find all posts by Elyzabeth," a different type of list will come up of all the posts you've created, and where you've posted them should be on the right-hand top corner of each individual box.

In each of these different lists, if you click on either the thread or the post, it will bring you directly to it.

Alternatively, there's the "search" button at the top of the forum where UserCP, New Posts, and the like are listed. You can search for a post or a thread if you remember some of the words you used.

It's also easiest (strangely enough, I've found) to get directly to your profile, like how another member would, in order to view your stats by clicking on "member" up at the top of the forum and search for yourself. It'll drop you right into your own profile without being a round-about way.

Are you just talking about the cafe and the intellectual table?

The main purpose of Writer's Beat is a writing forum and whereas the social areas can be an enjoyable (or not) distraction, it's not really why we're here.

The 'Write Here' areas of the forum will help you get to know other members better and establish connections through a shared enjoyment of writing. You can read their work and provide helpful feedback or critique for them, or you can post your own writing and invite others to feedback to you, which can help you develop or polish your work.

Everyone has their own thing to say in the cafe or on the intellectual table, and lets face it, it's human nature to want your to have your own voice heard above the rest. Sometimes you need to be thick skinned and sometimes it's best to step away. But you can always go to the 'Writer Here' boards, where your input is always valued and it's much more productive and rewarding.

Thank-you for your good advice, however,

problem is that I'm unable to find my profile....?

Hahahahaha! Leave it to Firefly to point out the obvious. (Being old makes one boggle-headed. Yeesh. )

Yes, you could certainly do that.

Not meaning to insult anybody, or hurt anybody's feelings..

but

I despise Facebook

Don't feel comfortable with the amount of information
they try to collect on everyone.

last week, I went to a spiritual Buddhist site,

and I was unable to enter,

because I would not do so through Facebook....

Spooks me out !

Ummm . . . I believe that doesn't really have much to do with the topic at hand, eh? Perhaps a new thread in a proper forum?
