Good luck and thank you all for entering. If you would like to review the prose submissions please look here.

Also thank you to brianpatrick and FX Lord for entering, sadly your entries where over the word limit.

Apologies for being slightly late with this as I have been a little ill.

Oh okay. I was under the impression that you allowed it to be a little over, as you stated in a message to Brianpatrick on the comment thread.

It's hardly my fault if you implied you would accept stories that were a little over.

Sorry if I was unclear, with a little I did mean a little. Something that was small enough that it could be due to such things as different method of word counts or so. One or two percent over, maybe five at a stretch.

Not to worry word counts are going away for the next one.

I have no intention of entering the next one. I don't appreciate wasting my time and effort.

I'm moving over to http://www.writingforums.org/

They have contests more often and give a 10% allowance on word count.

I wish you all well in the future my friend.

I don't understand the logic in this?

You created a story that didn't exist prior to your efforts. That's not a waste of time and effort?! Place it on the fiction board for critique or expand on it.

If your only intention was to win the competition then I think you're in the wrong game my friend. I enjoyed your story. :-)

Peace.

Err, ......

Well good luck but I am confused about this.

Also how would 10% leeway have helped, your story was more than 300 words over by my count, and at 2000 words that’s 15%. Part of the challenge of the contest up to this point was the word limit. Yes sometimes that means a story just does not work but other times it can help improve it as people have to really value every word and how they use them.

Anyway, let us continue with this one and then see what the next one brings.

Hey! What % was mine over?!?!😄😄

Meh... I don't care about winning the contest. I'm happy with the story that came out of the effort.

Maybe though, I could get another cookie, Tau?

About 90 percent over, you where less then 200 words from 4000 which would have been double the limit.
