Default The best thing

The best thing I ever done {sic} was to stop submitting to nonpaying markets. I'm sure there are exceptions to this truism, but not for me. I realize now a lot of nonpaying pubs are rife with bad editors and will slap anything into their mags. My writing is sharper and I'm getting published (and paid) a lot more. The money is still embarrassingly low, all token or semi-pro mags, but I ain't done yet, y'know?

Care to name a few?
I got oodles of stuff and not nearly enough exposure to annoy the vast magnitude of people who deserve such treatment.

It would be in poor taste to name specific mags, I feel. Sorry. But I assure you I have had pure junk appear in non-payers, that I now know was second rate prose. If you are looking for mags, try Ralan's list.
