Default Hello everyone!

Hi everyone.

Just joined today and thought I'd introduce myself. With next to no experience (I did used to dabble in screenwriting a few years ago) I'm currently in the middle of writing a children's novel. What I originally intended as a heavily illustrated bedtime story has spiralled into something so large it will probably have to be split into three books.

Anyway, after ten years of thinking plenty but not actually writing plenty, I have to say I'm enjoying the process.

I look forward to getting involved with the community here.

*gulp*

Well I don't know that I have anything I want to show off just yet, and with my first draft I've gone old school and handwriting it. Will be happy to share when I get into the second draft.

Fair enough.
While that bread is in the oven would you please be helpful to the community you have joined?

How?

Read some of the work others have posted and respond to it.
As a fresh writer this will give you ways to advance your craft while naturally expressing your feelings.

Yep, a Win/Win scenario.

Aw, Nick, sometimes you are surprisingly thoughtful and, dare I say, sensitive.

Don't push it, Pierce.
I ain't got enough schmaltz for the two of ya.

It's probably not best to post a first draft anyway. You don't want folks tripping on mistakes you could catch yourself.

Looking forward to seeing something.
