Always a disclaimer; I dislike having my picture taken. I always tell my clients they must have a picture of themselves on their sites. Therefore I chose a picture that looks as little like me as possible.

Where? Couldnt find it. I want to see!

Here's a self portrait done in photoshop. It's from a photo reference so it should fit with the thread.

Then aged. Aged sounds less dramatic.

I'm very dramatic.

Aged? Blah. In my head, I'm still 14.

I know what you mean about not feeling your age by the way. I'm thirty seven but still feel as naive and stupid as I did at twenty one. I'm hoping to grow up into a proper adult any day now.

Nothing to regret, you're better looking than me!

For those that find this kind of thing inspirational, here's Virginia Woolf's bedroom, not far from where I live.

Gorgeous pier photo, Mike.

And for those of you who like fields and abandoned things as much I do...

I really like this image

Cute. How old?

It's lambing time over here, the fields are full of them; a mouth-watering sight.

Alpine Dairy Goats - about a month old. These are bucklings, and will be wethered and raised as meat goats.

I'll take a cue from Mike and post some of "my" pictures. I needed something to hang in my home office, so I'm making some prints of these.

Ah, a fellow abandoned-things fan I see! The third one is my favorite. Stunning composition.

Great pictures, Joe. I'm a big fan of abandoned things too, but American abandoned things always look just that little bit cooler.

Thanks. I like that one too. Abandoned things have kind of a built in poignancy that almost feels like cheating. Of course, you still have to make a good image out of it. I like your image a lot too -- especially the contrast between active farmland and the abandoned buildings. There's little story there --like maybe this was once a family farm and it's long since been taken over by some larger concern. Cheers.

Thanks, Mike. I've enjoyed looking at your images too. The cool abandoned things are disappearing pretty fast.

I was recently looking at a series of oddly moving photos of abandoned malls -- just as recent as the last economic downturn -- pretty sad, especially the small businesses that represent someone's dream. I'll see if I can find the link -- didn't come across it on a cursory look.

Here's a link -- same images, not on the site I was looking at. I have no idea why these are on the weather channel site:

Hello all! I am a new member to this forum, and I'm glad I found it, because I was displeased with other types of websites for casually posting stories and what-not.

As my name suggests, I'm a flutist! I am a music major at university, and I would say that music is my first calling, but writing is definitely my second calling, and creative writing in particular.

A picture of me with my musical "Ghost lover" as I like to call him. Long story short, but this guy just doesn't leave me alone!
