Default Happiness can't buy money...

Humour in good writing

Where is it ?

I just discovered someone wonderful :
David Sedaris

"Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim"
Brilliant AND excellent, insightful writing

Aside from the few moments when Dean Koontz is very funny..
where is humour in the mainstream today?

money can't buy money let alone happiness.

There's humour if you look for it, but it's covered up with layers and layers of over-seriousness and what-about-me?-ing.
Perhaps I'm seeing humour where there is none, but I think tongue in cheek is making a comeback.

Hi Elyzabeth, hope you're well.

Thanks for the heads up on David Sedaris. Radio 4 Extra broadcast a short season of his radio shows; simply genius.

I'll keep my eye out for his written work.

You can get his book from the Library

"Dress your Family in Corduroy and Denim"

Truly the funniest, as well as one most insightful books ever!

Glad you enjoyed him on the radio, a bit surprised as he is an American...

happy to hear it though
