Icon13 [Insert Witty Introduction Here]

I don't sleep well at night mostly because I can't turn my brain off. I have a blog that I write my thoughts in but it doesn't quench my thirst for creativity. I suck at committing to a project - I have at least a dozen half-written stories.

I like critiquing other peoples work because I think it helps make mine better also. My feelings are not easily bruised and I hate to think I'd ever hurt someone else's. However I may sugar coat things, I am honest and if you'd rather not acknowledge my opinions I'd never begrudge you for it.

I like people who can articulate, meaning I dislike most but I am polite.

I currently live in Korea with my husband who is a soldier in the US Army. It is bitterly cold here. BIT-TER-LY. Any ray of sunshine you have to send my way, I am grateful to receive.

Welcome. Wow, Korea. I want to go there. I hope you have fun here, and here's another to go with the one I gave you earlier. And projects - I've got 5 novels on the go because I get bursts of inspiration and must finish that one before I do the earlier ones. :/

I can empathise with this. Welcome, look forward to seeing your work.

There's a blizzard bearing down on us here, so I'm hoarding all the sunshine. I may put some on ebay though. Keep an eye out.

This should help warm you up for now, though.

Ah, I'm glad to see another person who can't turn their brain off at will. Welcome to the club Korea is probably simmering compared to here, with all the snow. I'm new here too, but a week newer than you. Good luck posting, I guess

You should check out Barbara Kingsolver's books. She was a biologist but during her pregnancy she had bouts of insomnia. Instead of midnight cleaning, she typed out a very good novel. I'd trade a few hours sleep for that!

Btw, I'm in Minnesota and it was FREEEeeezing (warming up now yay!) so I can relate!

LadyDomino, unless your work contains copious amounts of valium, I can assure you - I won't fall asleep!

It is 23 degrees here in Pyeongtaek today. Electricity is ridiculously expensive so my apartment is usually 55-60 degrees. Layers. Lots and lots of layers!

I read Poisonwood Bible a few years ago and shoved it down everyone I know who reads' throat! Loved it!

Thank you for all the welcomes!
