you are far too many Jesus's quotes. Jesus this Jesus that. I mean you have not even met the guy.
Have you any of your own?

Silly woman! This is a thread about Christianity. Of course, we're going to bring up Jesus. Would you expect anything otherwise?

He needed a little smacking around from his father when he was young. Then, when he was older, he may have not turned into a murderous thug. How can you refer to someone who butchers an inocent, pregnant woman as fascinating. He was a coward. You are not only mixed up but also fugged up.

Charles Manson never killed a single person. Check your facts.

You should read his history. He got a lot more than a smacking around as a kid. He was battered, raped, and abandoned repeatedly. At one point his mother traded him for a pitcher of beer.

I take a med called flupentixol.

Doctor's don't know if it's schizophrenia or bi-polar... but, the facts are in, I'm crazy.

Must remind you of Logos. *wink wink*

Iím interested in mental illness. I find it abhorrent that we, say, forcibly medicated a guy like Jarod Lee Loughner into ďsanityĒ for the express purpose of convicting him to seven life sentences plus 140 years in prison.

It was obvious from his Facebook page that he was schizophrenic. They took it down quickly, but I remember his writings. They were so sad.

Iím not saying what he did was not terrible, it was, but I just donít see why people with serious mental illness canít be treated with the aim of making them healthy, rather than the aim of incarcerating them for life+

Did you know that upwards of 50% of all prison inmates, and 70% of all permanently homeless people have some form of serious mental illness? Illnesses that can be managed fairly easily with the right medications, making them able to at least live semi-productive lives.

Unfortunately, Tim, most of the people I've met in jail and on the streets who would be helped by medication, refuse to take it.

It comes down to, do they have the right to live their lives in a way that is destructive and harmful to themselves and others, or do we have the right to forcibly medicate them into usefulness?

At this point, individual rights trump the betterment of the community.

Just to stay on topic, What Would Jesus Do?

Jesus? He would probably whip his dick out like Iggy Pop, and wave it around out of boredom, get some attention. Okay, probably not, but he would definitely cause a stir.

He would probably cast out the demons that were the cause of the disorders, but they'd probably end up in a bunch of pigs or something, just like in the Bible, and next thing you know, he'd be in prison for animal cruelty.

Unless the pigs enjoyed being schizo.

Well, if youíve ever seen a fairly large flaccid penis itís about the same. Seen one, seen Ďem all. You might be pleased to know it looks circumcised. He got a nice clean penis. I knew you were wondering but were too shy to ask. So... youíre welcome.

...she says, coyly.

And yes, Nacia, Christianity is all about Jesus (the Christ).

Supposedly.
