I'm starting to run low on books to read, so I was hoping you all might be able to give me some recommendations! I'm particularly interested in books that handle taboo subjects and where the author isn't scared to push the boundaries a bit. As the title suggests, I really enjoyed both "The Collector" and "Lolita", so something similar to those would be appreciated!
I've already got Perfume in my reading pile, and based on some internet magic I've added the following to my Amazon basket already:
-After Dark, by Haruki Murakami
-The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - Carson McCullers
-The Virgin Suicides - Jeffrey Eugenides
-Tropic of Cancer - Henry Miller
With Christmas holidays just started I reckon I will need another 2 or 3 to keep me occupied! Any recommendations would be most welcome!
