I used to think toys came to life at night. This caused me to lie awake for hours at night staring at my stuffed animals and dolls waiting for them to move.

I used to think I was "lactose and tolerant," not "lactose intolerant".

When I was really young I always thought that cats were the female counterpart to dogs. Shocked me when I found out they were different species.

It is a little bit sad,but I used to think that only bad people died before their "natural time". I know that isn't true because there are a lot of people around the world that should be here, while some should be gone by now.

It is the only thing I could come up with.

I've heard other people say the same. It's so cool I actually wish it was true.

I used to think being completely tucked in and covered by the biggest blanket I could find would save me from the monsters in my closet.

I used to think people who thought of other people as stupid were the stupid themselves.

I used to think that sewing machine were controlled by the user's mind. I was too lazy to look under the table.

No, little kids on my favorite TV shows and kids in my class would always say there were monsters in the closet. Like Boogeyman. I never believed it, but..it's better to be safe than sorry.

I used to think that poodles' hair grew naturally into little blobs* on their paws, hips, head, chest and ears.

*I don't know if "blobs" is the right word.

Another thing I used to think when I was a kid was that when a clerk gave someone change it was them just being nice because you shopped at their store.

Jumping on the wagon here.

I used to think that when the ice cream van played music, it meant it had run out of ice cream.

I used to think I was an acholic when I was little. This was because this person came to my school and said "acholics were tired, lazy, and not serious". That person forgot to mention you have to drink achol to be acholic. So I ran home to my mom and told her I thought I was an acholic.
