Yeah - it's the American who "can't be bothered" to learn your native tongue.

I met a nice Bulgarian lady today who had very little command of English and I did what it took to get this ability to greet you.

Oh, so now you are, perhaps, thinking "Thank You".

And I didn't think to ask her how to say "You are welcome".

Sometimes I'm such a potato head.

I know, I know - start walking the plank, Nick.
Don't stop until you make the splash.

Hangin' out with you Pirate type can really get rough.

And now when I ask the internet for a translation of Hello it says my stuff is bogus.

Well, I'm tryin' and that's gotta count for somethin'.

Such a potato head.

You made my day (night, it’s 11:50), thank you!

Of course it counts, I truly believe you learn something new every day so don’t walk the plank just yet, there is a whole world to experience.

Shuffling away now to hide the blushing cheeks.

I kinda feel bad now that I said you can’t be bothered to learn Polish, you know it was a joke, right?

You are correct that the average person is so self consumed they would not make much effort to bridge the gap across cultures.

But I ain't an average person.

(Smiling at you now)

So continue writing.
