Members' Choice Nomination Thread - March 16th - June 15th
Another round of Nominations has been opened, nominate away!
Only pieces with the original post date (not the date of the responses) between March 16th and June 15th will be eligible. Post your nominations, with a link to the piece, here in this thread. You may nominate as many as you like.
Please let the person whose work you have nominated know that you have done so by mentioning it in the relevant thread.
Voting will take place for one week, beginning on June 16th. The winning piece will have a chance to be published in the Writer's Beat Quarterly, (in August 2013, subject to the editors-in-chief's approval).
Thank you!

Definitely deserves a nod in its direction. An offbeat, honest, bit creepy morality tale told through the eyes of two down-to-earth average high schoolers. It gets my vote.

I would also like to nominate Anna by Pat75. It is a really well written story and the tension grips the reader from the get go. I have read the other parts and think it could be something great. Really looking forward to part 4.

May I nominate There's Something Terribly Wrong with Clown
It's dark (a plus), disturbing (a double plus), and possibly not the best material for an ezine with young readers , but it's got a very strong voice going on in there, with wicked promise too.

I would like to nominate There's Something Terribly Wrong with Clown by RabbitInTheSuit which conjures some brilliant dark imagery with its solid prose.

I would also like to nominate a life recital by Nacia in the poetry category. The poem oozes charm and sentiment which makes it in my opinion a worthy nominee.

Throwing down my second nom right here. And it's for Beat rookie Drew67's Night Approach (previously untitled)
http://www.writersbeat.com/showthread.php?t=46099
It's dark, enlightening, and chock-full of imagery that makes you want to lock your doors and get home before the sun goes down. The Beat be damned, this rookie's got it going on with this one.

Then you'll love this.
I must be in a nom-happy mood today because I seriously think we might have had our strongest weekend of the quarter.
My third nom is Beefheart's "Peanut-Free".
http://www.writersbeat.com/showthread.php?t=46052
Beef has been a constant presence on the Beat and has always had a way of changing her subject matter and yet keeping a very distinct choppy and "here's your damn dinner" style. This style has never been stronger than in this piece: it's sad, honest, and, most important of all, impacting. It even left this normally manly-man in tears with an ending that I assure you you will not see coming.

I'd like to nominate Blake1138's "on canvas", in the poetry section.

Hey Tau, just to ease my sphincter a bit, what is the ceremonial "last chance to vote" time? Like midnight of what night?
