Yazmin
The almond hedges were swaying so drastically that l thought it might not be a decent temperature to wear silk in the dark, but an hour after lunch proved to give me sweaty palms and the nervous chills, something l could ignore in silk.
l had the notion that it would bring out a hint of tranquility from me to go out with Walter in heavy charcoal eyes and black lipstick, and he had said that he could take me to the Drive-in, as long as l’d be his Valentine. lt matched my jeans.
Walter arrived through the front doors by half-an-hour after six. l had prepared the air conditioner, wracked at any sweat that l would betray after we left my house. For whenever by dinner. lt was a Valentine’s surprise, and he said he’d had something special in mind. Nothing specific, and that was just fine with me.
Just fine with me.
lf we could grow to be hardly more official, according to me, here in the Piazza eating nothing but pancakes, than that’s what it would be. Within the dusky fir trees, a family of squirrels were tossing their deliciously furry tails in the eventide heat. lt was optimum for a glance over at him. His dimples were popping in and he had such glorious contours. lf we hadn’t met, l speculated from occasional goosebumps, as we pulled up to a spot out above lake, l’d be happy forever, with his simpering remarks and shruggish expressions; without Walter and l, it would mean the end of my whole existence.
Growing up, l'd never doubted the stars would rise every night, and had to've thought l was headed for the next day with the skies above some Prince Charming's embrace. Maybe it wasn't the way Walter was groaning just now that garnered much interested in dying. l had never felt brighter.
l felt so perfectly skanky having sex with him the whole time, instead of watching the movie. l was struggling to breathe because he kept muffling my lips together. Rat Race could keep playing all year-round, and Walter would never be without me.
The oceans were around us. The heavens were circling, swooping in to cover for the dark angels of the night, but we weren't in love yet. l felt bashful, like it was my fault. And if this was love, l'd wager he could play at it all evening long.
Afterwards, back to my place, he sat up on our sofa with me. He stooped to check out my anklet, since my legs were hitched up next to my face. lt was the St. Christopher’s pendant necklace l had stolen from some girlfriend of mine for better luck.
l fell asleep by dawn, after when he'd left. l woke up to a dream with him eating me out, something ironically twisted in his expression, like a bloated eggplant. l had always wondered when the growing older would catch up to me. l contemplated how things out to go.

The last sentence puts the tail on the snake.
Way to go, 'bot.

I contemplated how things out to go.
This was the last sentence. There is a typo there somewhere, or I'm a muggle. I've always thought of myself as a wizard, and yet... hmm... maybe I'm wrong.

The anklet was nice. I love anklets. My wife always wears one. Some are string with pukas, and some are lacy gold or my favorite: silver.
You, dear chat, can drop a sentence. Yes, yes, salaciousness aside, the word is lord.

Yes, I think that's it.
I was hyper-focused on the anklet.

Holy fuck! Between the two of you (watchin' this exchange unfold) the inside of my head is spinnin' like a roulette wheel.
And the sound of that hard little ball bouncin' around is ... wait a sec ... it's quiet now.
Oh great. Now I've lost all of my marbles.

How can one plumb the depths of such statements?
The contemplation gets my almond hedge a shakin'.
There - now my nuts are fallin' off.
Hope you are satisfied.
Hey! Mr. Squirrel! Leave those be. They ain't for you.
Aw crap. He's grabbin' them with his little paws and stuffin' 'em into his ballooning cheeks.
