I saw my muse today
She rode by on someone else's rhyme

And I continue to squat at the roadside

Crashin' words together
Slammin' words together
Rubbin' words ...

Trying to get a spark

Something to ignite the tinder
of inspiration

And I shiver with nothing
to pen

I saw my muse with
someone else

Good Luck, pal

If her high maintenance don't
part you two

her fickleness
surely
will

You know Nick, she sucked but it was always my life force instead of. But absent her piss poor suggestion whisper, I found I can ramble piss poor with the best of them. Why I've been able to take perfectly good ideas and load them up with trite, tickle lyric, spit disjointed, lose my train of thought, forego the rubbish bin and publish. It's a lot easier than you think. Please don't think she came my way. I think Franklin took her. That's just a theory; please don't share that around.

You evoke a strong sense of bitterness and loss, I hope it is fictional (EDIT: I mean for your own well-being- not some self-righteous judgement based upon your kindly shared work).
